What you'll do
Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies for CAPEX. T&E Commodity Buyer leads the sourcing process, complete supplier negotiations, manage the supplier panel & ensure supplier performance.
- Lead commodity strategy and structure supplier panel
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to onboard if required to support commodity strategies
- Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective action if required
- Responsible for achieving assigned cost reduction goals and other KPIs
- Lead supplier RFQ and nomination process, negotiate all necessary purchasing contracts
- Identify innovation capabilities of suppliers and pursue technology advancements
- Negotiate payment terms to achieve financial objectives
- Support acquisition process and drive competitiveness on T&E investments
- Ensure supplier risk management

What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing in an industrial environment (ideally automotive)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking and data driven oriented
- Proven negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferred)
- At ease with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office tools
