Bring structure, traceability, and control to space products

At SATLANTIS, we develop advanced Earth observation technologies where precision, traceability, and configuration control are essential to mission success. Behind every satellite system, strong configuration management ensures consistency across design, production, and operations.

As a Product Configuration Engineer, you will ensure that all engineering data, product structures, and configuration baselines are accurately defined, controlled, and maintained across complex space programs.

What’s in it for you

  • Key role in mission reliability: Your work will ensure that every satellite and subsystem is correctly defined, traced, and controlled throughout its lifecycle.
  • Cross-functional visibility: You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and product teams across full space programs.
  • Ownership of configuration processes: You will manage change control, product structures, and documentation flow in critical engineering environments.
  • Exposure to space systems engineering: You will gain visibility into satellite development, testing, qualification, and production activities.
  • Process + engineering hybrid role: A unique combination of technical understanding, data management, and systems coordination.
  • Collaborative environment: Work in a multidisciplinary space company where precision and teamwork are essential.

Your mission

Your mission will be to ensure full consistency, traceability, and control of product configuration across satellite and payload development programs.

By maintaining accurate engineering data and configuration baselines, you will enable reliable manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery of space systems.

You will:

  • Define and maintain product structure trees and configuration baselines.
  • Manage technical documentation, BOMs, and configuration data in PLM/PDM systems.
  • Coordinate change management activities (CRs, ECOs, and related workflows).

What will set you up for success

  • Engineering and technical foundation: A degree in Engineering or a related technical field will help you understand product structures and complex technical documentation.
  • Experience in configuration or data management: 2–3 years of experience in configuration management, PLM/PDM systems, or technical documentation workflows will help you quickly add value.
  • Strong organizational mindset: You are detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable managing complex technical information with accuracy.
  • Analytical and problem-solving approach: You enjoy understanding systems, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring data integrity across multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication and coordination skills: You are comfortable working with engineering teams and ensuring alignment across technical and operational areas.
  • English proficiency: Essential for working in international project environments. Spanish is a plus.

Preferred experience that will help you stand out

  • Experience in configuration management within the space or aerospace sector.
  • Knowledge of ECSS-M-ST-40C or similar standards.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM tools (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill or similar).
  • Exposure to satellite development or industrial engineering environments.
