Position:

We are seeking for a proactive and organized Business Development Key Account Manager to join our team at Medalchemy. This role is pivotal to managing and expanding strategic partnerships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving long-term growth through coordination between internal teams and key clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmaceutical or medical cannabis industries and thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for key customers, ensuring their long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Integration Manager to ensure smooth onboarding and product launches for new and existing customers.
  • Ensure commercial expectations are clearly communicated to internal/external stakeholders across Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory.
  • Support the Business Development department in identifying and prioritizing new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, financial models, and executive presentations for new business development opportunities.
  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams to continuously improve service and product offerings.
  • Identify and drive portfolio expansion opportunities within key accounts.
  • Lead or support the negotiation and management of commercial agreements (e.g. Supply and/or Service Agreements).

Track and report key account performance (sales, margins, volume trends), identify risks and opportunities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree (MBA or relevant discipline) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Additional certifications or training in project management, commercial strategy, or regulatory affairs are advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Work Experience Requirements

  • 2 + years of experience in account management, business development, or project coordination.
  • Experience working in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical cannabis, or other highly regulated sectors is required.
  • Proven experience in managing key customer accounts, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting commercial negotiations.
  • Exposure to regulated product onboarding, quality assurance frameworks, or GMP environments.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet)
  • Experience working in international or multi-market environments.
