Job Mission / Purpose:

Working alongside the Event Planners, the Events Planning Specialist is an integral part of the team in help planning events. The main purpose of the role is to support the planning team with managing all needs for all events with close supervision and guideline.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Ensure event compliance and follow country-specific requirements.
  • Handle ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
  • Follow Franchise and Compliance Events strategy, including reviewing processes and tools for planning.
  • Monitor and achieve all key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in service to customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships across functions, leveraging collaboration opportunities.
  • Apply compliance policies, including SOX, FCPA, and quality standards, in event planning.
  • Coordinate regularly with sales and product managers for event reviews.
  • Collaborate with key business functions (e.g., Compliance, Finance) to align on event procedures.
  • Manage all aspects of event coordination, including GDPR compliance and virtual event platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in related field (Higher Education preferable)
  • 1-2 years working experience in event management within the medical devices industry
  • Experience in planning international events
  • Knowledge of MedTech Europe Compliance
  • Native Spanish speaker with fluent level of English
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (PPT, Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters
  • CAPS contract management system
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to be able to support business needs for events

Travel percentage: 30%
