Wealth management/Santander Private Banking is looking for a Senior fund analyst, based in our Madrid office.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior fund analyst, you will contribute to the different functions within the team. Specifically, you will be responsible for traditional fixed income strategies within the UCIT space, analysing, selecting and monitoring third party managers to be part of the wide range of underlying managers where Santander Private Banking invests in.

It will involve the use of quantitative techniques, statistical analysis and ranking analysis. But also, we put a lot of emphasis on qualitative analysis - due diligence, contact and deep knowledge of asset management companies, interviews with management teams, acquiring knowledge of the investment processes, style, philosophy and assets used for different strategies.

Full interaction with members of the product department within SPB globally is required

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Process – helping to improve the research and monitoring process
  • Control – helping to oversee the recommended list of third party managers
  • Projects – Ad hoc projects as they are required

Experience

  • The candidate needs to have a minimum of 10 years in a similar position

EDUCATION

  • Required: Economics or Engineering degree
  • Desirable: Masters in finance / CFA or similar certification will be a plus
