Responsabilities
• Design, develop and deploy data science models to support decision-making and innovation in renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate in R&D projects to evaluate and improve the performance of renewable assets using data-driven approaches.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop predictive models and forecasting algorithms (e.g. for energy production, failures, maintenance, etc.).
• Contribute to the development of digital tools for operational optimization (e.g., dashboards, KPIs, alerts).
• Integrate and analyse data from SCADA systems, CMMS, sensors, and external datasets.
• Work closely with engineers, technicians and software developers on multidisciplinary projects.
• Participate in defining project objectives, planning timelines and ensuring technical deliverables.
• Generate clear documentation, reports and visualizations to communicate results effectively.
• Monitor data science trends in renewable energy and contribute to internal innovation strategy.
• Collaborate with universities, research centers and industrial partners on applied data science initiatives.
Education
• Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields
• English proficiency: B2–C1 level
Requirements
• Experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling using tools such as Python, SQL, R, Jupyter, etc.
• Proficiency in data processing pipelines (ETL) and working with structured and unstructured datasets
• Solid knowledge of renewable energy sector: wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, etc.
• High proficiency in data visualization tools: PowerBI, Tableau, matplotlib, Plotly
• Experience with time-series data from SCADA systems or IoT sensors
Knowledge of any of the following topics would also be advantageous:
• Familiarity with digital twins, predictive maintenance, and reliability modeling
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and deployment of ML models
• Use of version control systems: Git, GitHub, Azure Repos
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and cybersecurity
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments
