Our Global Technical Sales organization team is looking for a Strategic Program Manager for our new customer program at Telefonica Spain.

The Strategic Program Manager will be responsible for managing and developing this specific customer program. The Strategic Program Manager will be in regular contact with our key customer to understand their needs and expectations of our company.

The Strategic Program Manager will drive customer engagement and loyalty to a higher level in order to grow the business with this customer.

The key responsibilities of this role will include

  • Act as the first point of contact for the customer and build a strong and trusting relationship through timely and accurate communication
  • Work closely with the customer to understand program requirements and dependencies for successful implementation/integration of the solution
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, R&D and Customer service to ensure the program is fully aligned with our business goals while being profitable
  • Communicate all client requirements to the internal organization and ensure they are met.
  • Provide feedback as a customer advocate to shape product development and improve customer experience
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, track and deliver the customer program from initiation to completion
  • Professionally manage customer expectations
  • Inform the customer of business processes, marketing/sales procedures, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal teams in the creation of program related documents, including team responsibilities, release schedule, program milestones and deliverables, acceptance conditions, etc.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, calls, follow-ups and other activities with the program team and client
  • Identify and resolve operational and service-related issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Proactively identify commercial opportunities and clearly communicate these opportunities to the internal organization
  • Assessing risks at the program level in order to take corrective action where necessary
  • Schedule product and quality reviews to meet customer’s expectations

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

  • Extensive experience with Program Management, Project Management or similar capacity relating to Telecommunications.
  • The ability to manage a large multi-year program with multiple projects simultaneously across a large geographic region while maintaining project schedules, budgets, customer expectations and mitigating risks is required.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Spanish are required.
  • This role requires a structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as on the commitment and willingness to get involved proactively.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field – Essential
  • Certification on IPMA, PRINCE2, PMI – Desirable

  • Travel is expected, approx. 25-30%
